I will say, with absolute certainty, that this is the worst idea you have ever had.

I respectfully disagree - gatekeeping the Wondroids behind jump quests is probably the worst thing they've ever done. That said, this is definitely top three. Controls as precise as what this event demands do not mix with the inherently high latency of people from across the globe connecting to the same race instance. There were points where I was literally going in the opposite direction of what I was pressing due to massive input lag. Attempting to drift only made things worse. In fact, only the first place winner in my races actually finished the course. Everyone else got timed out, and I only got second place because I was willing to fight the controls - half the people in my instances would outright quit the race.

I would strongly suggest some sort of country-based region locking for people playing, which should, hopefully, reduce the latency somewhat. Perhaps lowering the race point requirements for each reward might also help, since it would mean less races are required to get them. As it stands, the rewards are absolutely not worth the slog. It legitimately would be less painful to just amass the mesos needed to buy them outright.

jump quests are fine...how is that bad ? unless you were to add some insufferable lag in it like the boat race then i guess

i use to speed clear jumps quests back in old days..nothing rly hard..Ellinia, Sleepywood, Kerning, Ludibrium, Zakum

then selling the eye of fire for free mesos lol since ppl were so bad at it

well Ellinia with the necky was bs though....rng direction(jump at wrong time and they randomly choose to charge at you)....the other ones easy if you had the patterns and timings down

    Okay, short version

While some players claim - only on forums - that there is a “silent majority” of players who enjoy them, these players never speak up in the actual game. (Near certain these are the same players who loved the game so much before the Big Bang because they were having a ball searching days for Glass Slippers or camping out waiting for Griffey to respawn.) Here’s the set-up: Take a player who can jump or flash-step in ways that would make Mario or Mega Man jealous, then put them in a situation where they become as slow and clumsy as a snail as they attempt to traverse stages devoid of any interesting mechanics. Throw in tight jumps, bad control, and obstacles that try their darndest to cause you to make a mistake, with even one mistake causing you to lose all your progress due to a complete lack of save points and then give it all a time limit. These quests are not fun, they are boring, tedious, frustrating, repetative, and have made more than a few players rage quit in disgust. Worst of all, put this at the third act of the questline, where you’ve invested way too much progress to simply give up and can almost taste the promised reward.

Worst of all, they make little sense plot-wise, and the incontinence of the toons in each one can get ridiculous. Take the one in FriendStory, are we actually supposed to believe that folks like Mercedes, Phantom, or someone with magical martial arts like Kanna and Hayato have a hard time stepping over soda cans while trying to follow a security guard?

Suffice to say, anyone who truly likes this is playing the wrong game.

I hated the jump quests but iirc in 2021 they did finally change the coin cap limitation and allow us to farm enough coins without being in jump quest hell. Cause i don't think i would have been able to get a roid if it was purely based on finishing all the jump quests ( i did not finish all the jump quests)

In the previous wonderoid event, there were many aspects of it that were simply broken and bugged. One example is the entrance to even enter some of the stages of the jump quest were not instanced which means you actually couldn't get in because someone else was in there. Lots of elements of the actual jump quest were really poorly implemented and the mechanics felt very poorly designed and dysfunctional. Not to mention, certain check points were brutal so that if u failed one part you had to go back very far and redo everything. basically the event felt awful for a lot of different reasons but there were legitimate bugs involved that made it that much harder to do
