here!
I do believe there is precedent for companies being sued for obfuscating the price of something by layering it through multiple forms of arbitrary digital currency, instead of a straight conversion price. Please do NOT implement this mythic box system. We now are looking at Purchasing NX (1) to Purchase Suprise Style Boxes (2) trades into Mythic Surprise Style Stamps (3) that trades into a REGULAR color prism (product that customer would like to purchase).
Then have the Preimum Color Prism's locked behind a fully RNG box system hidden within a Suprise Style Box as well, at a just straight RNG status to pull the item. This is also hidden behind NOT JUST 3 LAYERS BUT 4! You need to Purchase NX (1), Purchase PSSBs With NX(2), Trade in resulting NX items for Star Stamps (3), THEN you have to purchase ANOTHER STYLE BOX THE MYTHIC STAR STYLE BOX with the stamps (4), which is a CHANCE to get the Premium Color Prisms (the item that the customer would like to purchase).
Nexon America Kindly explain how this is not attempting to hide and obfuscate the "real" price being paid for your cosmetics, and is a system which also encourages gambling and spending more, and more, and more as most desired items are behind random chance boxes. If you cannot revise this system, I believe there will be consequences in the future and nobody in the Global Maplestory playerbase wants to see that happen.

I also want to point out that even if you are not directly affected by this episode of "What has Nexon done in the Cash Shop Now?" you should pay attention and consider that this is the company you support when you spend money with them, whether that be to renew your vac pet subscription, open a black friday box, etc.
Nexon has smothered the community with so many toxic cash systems that most players just shrug and continue spending anyways.
Take a step back and realize that you can't even transfer costumes that you spend money on between different in-game factions unless its during one of the bi-annual transfer events. It is toxic and its why i will not give nexon my money. They have eroded any goodwill i had left with them
I urge anyone reading this to consider how you spend your money. Even if you don't care about color prisms, do you really want to support the company who pulls these kind of stunts on the regular?
Actions speak louder than words
Players who already bought from the steam market are content with what they got and would rather just rely on free event items for the rest of their time if this is the direction cosmetics are heading towards. And for those that didn't manage to create a wardrobe from steam, does Nexon really want their players walking around in armour with the default class appearance, or even cloning themselves with event items? If cash items were priced fairly and items were made more accessible to various demographics of the community, people would be more likely to keep spending without feeling guilty. However, with the way things are going I'd rather not recommend this game to anyone and save them the stress of dealing with the constant rollercoaster we've been on over the years while pleading for things to change.
idc bout a system that harm whales further, either complety get rid of the system made for whales or just keep piling it, honestly i find it comic that they are trying to choke whales further(not that the whales ever care about your average players in general)
items i been wanting been gated beihnd that crap ever since i came back....i got an incomplete Inosuke set cause it was too expensive to spend more..if anything i feel like NX own me the full set after 100$ of rolls(thats the price of a full game)
Hairs Style and previously released clothes i been wanting never returned to the game in 2+ years...my favorite pet the Jr.Reaper was brought back but they gave me the middle finger by putting him in one of those rng box....i didn't bother trying because there was nothing else interesting in that box that could been resold on the market(steam market wasn't existing at the time either too) nor anything else i would use....so i would not make any $ back from something that was obviously fill mostly of unpopular items
this color prism version feel like a joke, why limit it to only premium boxes items when it should be open for ALL items ? this a low blow too
overall......i can just laugh at whales now complaining.....getting to feel how the average player been treat for years
there no real difference between 750$ and 15000$...both prices are a scam nonetheless but whales just buy anyway
like the odds are shown, its just basic math, the thing is ppl will spend regardless of knowing the odds, some ppl feel like they are the chosen ones at winning despite telling the reality of things....doesn't matter if the maths get a little more complicated
two simple rule when you get into gambling is,
1: you should expect to be the mega looser at all time.....if the average price is shown as 100$ alway think of the actual price being 300-500$(the mega looser at rng)........unless your willing to pay the big price, dont get into gambling period
2: dont believe rng to be your friend, rng will alway be your worse enemy that will do everything in its power to take all away from you, rng rarely ever slip up at its evil plans
...anyway prices is not exactly obscurred....just annoying to have to do extra maths..well gl with this, i be out since this change nothing for me, imma bother if you guys gets in arms againts the root of the problem, not with trimming just the surface of the problem
Nexon support says the game team monitors the official forums, but it's dead compared to discord so I don't know if that's believable. Though at the same time discord moves too quickly so who knows if suggestions actually get read there. I might as well try on both. There's also reddit if you have an account on there.
Every voice counts.
