GMS Test Server Astra Katara

Just made a video about my experience in test server about my initial thoughts on how DB Astra Katara works in GMS.

TMS said they would include SW Kataras as part of the Kataras able to be transferred into the Astra Katara.

Problem is Sweetwater Katara even at 22* gets you a vastly different result compared to just transferring a 22* Arcane.

An Arcane Katara at 22* gains 194 ATT from SF.
An Astra Katara made from a 22* Arcane Katara gains 223 ATT from SF.


A SW Katara at 22* gains 152 ATT from SF.
An Astra Katara made from a 22* SW Katara only gains 188 ATT from SF.

Dual Blades who are turning a 22* SW Katara into an Astra lose 35* and don't get to keep any BOSS or IED. An Astral Katara's SF bonus should be the same regardless if it was made from an Arcane or SW Katara.

Also there seems the conversion seems to be wrong as you are supposed to be given free scrolls if your material Katara has an item score of 324 instead of directly transferring scroll. Also perks about GMS is it has 2 hammer slots while KMS has 1 so all items here have one more enhancement slot than KMS. So Astra in KMS has 10 while GMS has 11. If they actually want to make the transfer work, an item score of 324 should result in the user getting 11 free Katara scrolls.




TLDR: DO NOT turn your Sweetwater Katara into Astra Katara. Justice for SW Katara

    UPDATE: After Ark Innoing my Arcane and Sweetwater, it turns both Astra Kataras gain 188 ATT from SF with 11 clean slots regardless of what Katara was used.

    The only real bug is GMS doing a direct scroll transfer for Arcane Katara which is ironic since they are screwing up with KMS items. As long we don't get direct scroll stat transfer and get free Katara scrolls from proper item score judging, it would be fixed.

    Update 2: The patch notes dropped and I am disgusted. The game is not handling an item scoring system like KMS with their Astra Katara are Astra Scrolls not mentioned . GMS is going with the route of direct scroll stat transfer and somehow excluded didn't allow scroll stat transfer from Sweewater Katara and PNO Talisman (they only get bpot and pot and starforce transferred but not scrolling.)

    The absence of Astra Scrolls is devastating as our Astra Kataras will be weaker than KMS unless you decide to land all 13s on V Scrolls which is astronomically expensive compared to a no fuss 1b meso scroll providing 9 ATT 15 LUK/DEX. Someone suggested this was a force to get Dual Blades to use weaker spell traces for less gain or spend a stupid amount of money for perfect V scrolls for more gains, but riddle me this: Why is only my Prime Scrolled Sweetwater Katara being punished by not having scrolled stats transfer while Arcane Katara has no restriction and is scrolled in the same manner? You are punished for making having a non-Arcane Secondary by not having scroll stats transfer (if GMS is going with direct scroll transfer on some items.)

    GMS should do the following:
    • Sell Astra Scrolls for Dual Blade and Kannas and other classes BARE MINIMUM
    • Ditch item transferring and follow KMS's item score rule instead of a direct scroll stat transfer

      if they don't do item score and keep scroll stat transfer,
    • Fully transfer all scrolled stats from SW Katara to Astra Katara and from PNO Talisman to Astra Talisman

    I know most players are in Heroic and scrolling isn't a thing, but this is major issue for those playing Interactive Servers. This discovery was only made possible because I had 2 Kataras and now the bug I discovered weeks ago is leaning towards deliberate bad design.
