    Only for accounts not logged in for 5 years+. I know some friends who haven't played in 1-2 years but came back this year. Deleting characters because of inactivity? What bull.

    Agreed. If my pc ever does break down or something, it'll take a while to recover everything.
    I don't wanna even think of the risk of my characters being deleted or their names taken away.
    I know people will just brand me as 'paranoid' but it's safe to think ahead like this sometimes.
    Maybe every so often, 5+ year inactivity accounts will have their names wiped.
    Now if they actually do come back, they should be given the option to change their names.
    Like gross, who wants an IGN like 58475469?

    Just my Two mesos...
    I think a rolling name hunt would work... well would normally work without a hitch but this is Nexon we're talking about.
    Basically every year on a certain date the servers would look at how long an account hasn't logged on or is perma banned for five years.
    Those accounts would have the names freed up, But the accounts would still be there, just with numerical names. So if you haven't logged in for four years and then log on. the timer resets and you're safe for another four years 364 days. This would free up names every year that there are accounts that haven't logged on in five years.
    Would this satisfy everyone's conditions?

    Yeah! then people could sell them RTM... Been waiting that IGN localhost for years... but I've a IGN now that I'm fine with so don't really care... Also we ready had a event like this it's not gonna happen again because every IGN that never logged in for like 5-7 I think was renamed with #xxxxxxxx so with that said all the old IGN's have now been claimed by people who took them and are using them or sold them and now people are using them IGN's for mules...

    lol, literally... I said I didn't create this post for that IGN. User is still playing on his account, just not on that char. So even if this happens I won't be able to get it which I don't care anymore.

    On another note, I think it would be great to let a free name change per character that had their name changed to numbers by the clean up. This is something other games do and is a very reasonable option to go for.
