Revamping Methods for Earning Mesos

Quests and PQs should allow players to earn generous amounts of mesos according to their respective lvl range. This would give Quests and PQs relevancy and meaning again. We only Quest now to do prerequisites for bosses, while avoiding a majority of the game in the process. There are areas no one go to (Orbis) because there are no Quests worth doing. This would solve that problem, and allow players to experience the game again while questing to earn considerable money to balance out the game economy. It would be appealing and easy to grasp for new players and old alike.

It would be awesome if we all shared our ideas for what we think is the best way to earn mesos.

That's not the problem. The problem with this game is that aside from the very FEW relevant items in game, everything else has no purpose, and is worthless. In other games, almost every item, no matter how small, play some significance in the game, and has a market for these items. In maplestory, they're just ETC drops with no purpose but to NPC, and even the NPC price is pretty much equivalent to 0.

Loads of items should have a consistent value. Not only the ones from bosses too difficult to the majority of the community. I'm not talking just about Equip drops, but literally almost every ETC and Use drop are useless? Like why do mana elixirs even exist from CRA. If they implemented something like Onyx Apples that drop at a low rate considering nobody even APQ's anymore, it'd be fine. The current system is quite bad.

Also to mention new tiers of equips that come out. Their existence shouldn't make every prior equip in the game absolutely worthless. Sure prices can dip down a bit, but they shouldn't be 0. This is a massive fault in this game that's been present for a while. Reverse items became worthless. Agares 130 equipment became worthless. Lionheart became worthless. And guess what, Loveless became worthless. If they want to add new items into the game, they shouldn't be doing it in a way that entirely ruins the economy before it.

A health game would mix all of these suggestions. It is not a one size-fit-all, scenario to me. Because when someone is tried of equipment grinding to resell, or do not even want to take part in making mesos that way, there are slim options for alternatives. Questing and PQing need a boost in mesos rewarded, as well as restructuring the equipment/drops, so they can have value as well.

A well rounded balance would equal a well rounded economy.

I've talked about this before with other players. The best way to get mesos in the current game (esp in Reboot) is with the Kanna class, which lessens the quality of gameplay if you want to fund a player, because you have to sacrifice a character slot and put all this extra time into a character you may not even want, and it shouldn't have to be that way. Especially since you have to level Kanna's to about 150 to really start reaping the benefits (anywhere between 125-600mil mesos and hour on certain maps in Reboot), and if you don't enjoy the class, then you might as well be stuck being poor.

We need better options for meso gain. Sure, boss runs give the intense crystals, but they only give so much, and you're limited to so many a day. Same goes for Ursus, even with the x2 event. With the x2 event, I got 90mil mesos in a day. Not bad, right? Actually, it is kinda bad, since it costs 134mil mesos for a 6 pack of black cubes in Reboot, and anyone who has been cubing knows that just 6 cubes won't do much of anything. It's even recommended that players who want to fund a character need *at least* 50 BILLION mesos to get that character off the ground. 50 BILLION. Now, how many times a day would I need to do Ursus, do every boss in a party (because you need mesos for upgrades in the first place before you can even attempt to solo!!!), and do multiple PQs to get to that minimum? Far too many, and it makes gameplay absolutely stale.

Which is why people like muling Kanna, because an average of 450mil mesos an hour is much easier. But it also makes gameplay stale because you're just using that one character to farm mesos, and it can really suck the soul out of the game when you have to put aside hours of your day just so that you can upgrade a character that you actually want. (Doubly so if you don't like playing as a Kanna in the first place!)
