How to provide evidence for ban appeals?

A friend of mine who hasn't played maplestory since around Aug 2016 told me that he found out today that he was banned from the game today. I'm assuming it has something to do with NX charges made on his account. However, at the time the charges were made, someone had requested his PIC be changed nor did he have a bank account or a card to make charges with. How could he prove that the charges were not made by him and/or that his account had been hacked? I'm sorry if this isn't the best place to ask but I'm just trying to help out a friend.

He's already sent in a ban appeal and has taken screenshots of his email and the transactions to send to for his ticket. I'm trying to help in being able to let him gather evidence that would allow him to be unbanned as I can't find any information on what would be sufficient evidence or proof so I'd be able to let him know so he can gather it.

Suspicious billing activity will typically get you banned from the billing system, not the game itself. If he's banned from the game entirely, then his characters were caught hacking or another bannable offense.

Aside from contacting support through a ticket, he can use the Live Chat system on the support website Tuesday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific time.

In addition, he change any important passwords regardless of their connection to Maple, and he should definitely change his email password.

Thanks. He told me that his entire account was banned for hacking the game for illegal funds. However, the ban was lifted. Thanks though. :3
