LAB Server lvl 200 survival quest not completing

I have leveled a character from 10 to 200 without dying and the lvl 200 event quest is not completing for me. Do I need to level up to 201? I hope to be able to get my legion block after spending 4 straight days leveling!

    You do not need to level to 201.

    Are you quite certain you did not die even once between accepting the "Level 200 Survivalist" quest and reaching level 200?
    Not even while fighting Von Leon?

    Well yeah, if I had died I would have just started back over from 10, like when I hit 150. Getting to 200 without dying is the only way to get to level 200 on this server.

    I didn't ask about dying between 10 and 200.
    I asked about dying between accepting the quest and reaching 200.

    hmm, ya I had died while scrolling at level 10 before von leon, because someone spawned mobs in Henesys. But I was level 10 already so didn't complain or anything.
    But the quest didn't specify any details, or notify that I had failed or anything. It just says get to level 200 without dying, which I have.

    I agree that Cassandra's wording in-game is not completely clear on that, but the update notes and event notes were updated, and a thread was posted in these forums by Arwoo.

    You will now have to go back to level 10, forfeit and re-accept the quest, and get to 200 without dying.

    You didn't really get to 200 without dying though, since you died at level 10. If you accept a quest that specifies that you're not allowed to die, and you die at the start, then you haven't met the requirements and have failed the quest.

    Ok well if I failed the quest why did the game not make me aware of this? And just because someone spawn some mobs in town?
    I don't have the free time to do this all over again...
    I did as the quest specified, but since there was nothing to give me information that I had to click two buttons at level 10 for the quest to be active again (which it still was, on the in progress page) I am out of luck..
    I see other players are saying that this was not in issue in other versions of Maplestory, if that is true.
    I hope a good amount of other players are in this same situation and Nexon addresses this issue.

    I just died once fighting Von Leon too, and I just knew I had to check, because so many games have such incredibly stupid designs when it come to things like this. You always have to at least triple check or you're just gonna get fooled.

    Only thing is, I tried forfeiting the useless kill Zakum 3 times quest to "test" it, and it didn't reappear so I'm a little scared now lol but I guess that one only unlocks when you reach level 50 or so. And besides, apparently it isn't even a choice now anyway. So I'll forfeit it and die again.

    I really hope Nexon will do something about it for you guys though, as this should not be a thing people get punished for. (Especially since the quest just stays active and unchanged when you die and does not even note it in any other way either)
