I think the this skill (GD) just won the world ugliest bossing skill. A berserker standing and dropping spear is too clunky and kinda ****,. A spear is meant to be soaked in blood not waving up and down for fun. A more "berserk" style is needed for Dark Knight bossing skill. (EG : stab like DB's Phantom Blade or Phantom's Mille Aiguilles).

The reasoning behind Gungnir Descent looking like that is that Gungnir is Odin's Spear, the descent of the spear is essentially it falling from Valhalla to strike the enemies.

If you notice the purple symbol before it falls down, that's like a cast to call upon the Spear to descend. Hence Gungnir Descent.

I know the Asgard reference in that skill but the concept of standing and calling one eye old man's spear just don't suit with dark knight (Odin main color is golden/yellow). Looking for a furious version for this skill like constantly stabbing enemy with insane speed :(

I mean, attack speed affects the animation.

But your idea is basically Drk's new V skill coming next update.

Keep in mind Berserker is part of Viking lore. They were called Odin's Men

I can see why it looks weird. Maybe if it came in from the side, or had a little bit of a darkness splash on impact.
It does feel a bit lack-luster when you look at some of the other bossing skills.
