Spirit of Snow does not attack when off screen

The new I/L 5th job skill Spirit of Snow is a great skill to use to clear a portion of the map.

However on large maps, placing it and then moving it to another side of the map (putting it out of your screen's area) results in it doing no attacks.

Expectation: Spirit of Snow keeps attacking mobs and keeps respawning mobs in large maps.
Actual: Spirit of Snow does not attack mobs until you go back to it's part of the map and load it on your screen.

How I verified: Mob kill counts for quests do not tick up while it is off screen.

    I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think any summon will attack when it's off-screen for the caster. Same way most won't attack if you're on a ladder or stealth(dark sight, resistance infiltrate, etc)

    I feel like this is a bit iffy. As a NW, I can use Greater Dark Servant and hit the Pink Whale in the first stage of Princess No from the very bottom level (where the top platform with the whale and Greater Dark Servant are "off screen") (can tell because Shadow Bats fly up to it and I still get tped around). But I also notice that sometimes it seems like I don't hit the whale even if Greater Dark Servant is up there, but if i jump once and continue attacking, it goes back to "registering" that Greater Dark Servant is up there and can hit the whale.
