Having a hard time getting the game to launch...

After coming back from a long break I'm having a rough time to even launch the game...? I've spent about 5 hours trying to figure out what's going on but I'm still stumped.

I've tried some of these "solution methods " of these listed from this post:

I've restarted computer.
I've fresh downloaded through Nexon Launcher.
I've fresh downloaded through Steam.
I've changed the regedit "soScreenMode" to 0-1-2-3 nothing worked.

I see maplestory.exe in my Task Manager Details when I click play (then it says currently in-game), after about 20 seconds the maplestory.exe closes and the "Play" button lights back up.
Edit: Looks like MapleBrowser.exe pops up for 1 second then auto closes as well.

    If I go to "D:/Nexon/Library/maplestory/appdata" and click the setup.exe my screen does change and I can see the Maplestory message there but it's in VERY bad resolution, but when I click play nothing ever pops up.

    I believe it's a resolution problem and the "soScreenMode 3" isn't starting it in windows mode for some reason.
