I'd like to know this as well. I left this topic alone because a GM said they were looking into it and they closed my topic saying that it's been "resolved". It's been almost a month now, and I'd like answers.
I believe they did change b1 to make it easier. My main, a lvl17x paladin took 12hours+ to complete.
I logged in last night on my buccaneer and finished the whole thing in 30-40 mins.

Oh, okay. I didn't know about the afk part. Thanks for letting me know.
And, I guess the bug is that you can afk at the top left ropes without getting kicked out of BalrogPQ.
If you afk on the rope on the bottom right until 17:00. You get kicked.
If you afk on the rope on the top left, you will be fine.
Tested with my remaining Balrog dailies.
