As of the Rise update, Chaos Lock still costs double fury (upon activation and after teleportation), and still crashes the player if there's enough fury for the first consumption but not for the second.
Even confirmation of which familiars can drop and which cant will be nice. I agree with you tho, all of the methods you mentioned would make it an easier task for us collectors.
