I've been on multiple characters and tested it
the chars I barely/never use get in just fine
the chars I use frequently, can't get in.
There is a definitely a quest/quests that have an effect on getting into the event hall properly...
Upon trying to open a storage (tested in several cities) I get disconnected from the game. Downloaded the game today, came from EMS.
