  • Remove the Sol Erda Cap

Whoever came up with these decisions, come get your lashings. Everyone involved in the decision making process of these garbage changes needs and deserves to be cussed out.

Tell me, and rather quickly, in what way is presenting us with worse changes is actually a good and/or necessary thing? Sure, we can agree that Sol Erda is something that will eventually be maxed over time like 5th job. But, does nearly 2 years of grinding due to the daily cap sound reasonable? Playing every single day for almost 2 years with no ways of making up Sol Erda for days you don't login (as it currently stands) sounds good? Mind you, KMS doesn't have this restriction (neither does MSEA lol MSEA is getting a cap and a $30 booster from the CS, go to hell) and this grind is all for one character. Why can't the reality be for players to farm Sol Erda as much as they want on their own time? Without the cap, it objectively gives players the flexibility to progress at their own pace/schedule. I see two scenarios:

    1. I think I'll farm X amount today and then on some other day, I'll farm Y amount and be done until whenever I log on again.
    2. Login every day or fall behind.

Like, is this cap because we're worried about FOMO and want to create an even playing field for everyone? Personally, I don't think this worry is avoidable because this cap inherently demands players to login every single day consistently to be able to max out. Like I said, if you miss X amount of days for whatever reason -- work, school/exams, emergencies, life -- you're permanently behind by that amount of days to maxing the current iteration of 6th job and now it'll be longer for you. The even playing field doesn't and can't exist to begin with; people live different lives and it's highly unlikely, I think, that every single player will be able to login every day (I know I won't be able to). If anything, I believe this just worsens the FOMO situation. It's 2023, and we should already know by now that one size does not fit all - what's not clicking?

Additionally, what's wrong with maxing out Sixth Job quickly? Is it because some people will be ahead of others? I'm sorry, is this a competition now? What are we winning in the end? Get a grip. I fail to see why it's an issue for some to be ahead. Even with the cap, those who are able to login every day will be ahead of those who aren't able to, so there will be "winners" regardless. It's quite literally nobody's problem if certain players feel like they're behind or inadequate -- let's not forget we're playing a game filled with awful RNG and time-gated mechanics. They put in the time and dedication into it so why shouldn't their efforts be rewarded accordingly? If they can afford the time to do it, then they should be able to.

For those who are in favor of the cap for whatever reason (ex. time constraints because of life), why can't you play as if there is one? Set a cap on yourself. That's an issue for y'all, and only y'all, to take up with yourselves. We already have to grind (levels, nodestones, etc.) in this game for progression, it doesn't make sense to introduce a cap on a system that is designed to be grinded.

As for the ring boxes (I do hope this issue is a typo lol), attempting to get desirable (usable) Oz rings (ex. ROR4) is/was already an absolute slog with the Oz tower and now ya'll wanna maintain it that way by dropping level 1 - 4 rings instead of the correct level 3 -4 rings. This is literally not an improvement whatsoever (maybe except not having to waste time in Oz, but at least you could get Shiny Ring Boxes that give you level 3 -4 rings unlike whatever the hell this change is); the only thing that changed is how you go about acquiring boxes. I fail to see how that is going to create a positive impact when getting the ring(s) you want is up to still-worse RNG but alright. Imagine fighting a hard BM or Seren only to get a useless level 1 or 2 ring lmao.

For such an update that is advertised to be so grand and exciting, it's making the update look like dog ****, like actual **** from a butt. A new age but same old terrible decisions. Was this even meant to draw new and returning players in? Good luck with that lol. This game has the potential to be so much better but does nothing good to become an improved version of itself and treats the player base as if we're dumb and don't have the ability to see what's different/changed from other MS regions.

Hurray to updates that waste even more time! Hurray to having restrictions and having less options because obviously that's a good thing!!!!!!!!#@$% I love, love, LOVE having my time disrespected, don't you?

Ya'll better not renew your VAC pets and spend NX anytime soon especially with Black Friday coming up, but then again, gambling addicts are gonna gamble and whale anyways.

Other issues that need addressing and need to be echoed again:
    1. Meso shop price inflation (Fairy Heart 2b vs 4b)
    2. Reg Servers: Frenzy Totems and instanced maps in Grandis
    3. 100% icogs and White Cubes
    4. State of Kanna
