  • Trace Recovery pieces for Exploded Gear

Suggestion: Add “Trace Recovery Pieces” as Boss Drops to Help Restore Destroyed Star Force Items

    Hey Maplers,

As many of you know, failing Star Force upgrades can destroy even the rarest items – including powerful pitch boss gear that can take months or even a year to obtain. The current “Trace” system allows us to keep a destroyed item’s trace, but we still have to drop the exact same item again to restore it. For endgame equipment, this can be devastating and discouraging.

    My proposal:
Let bosses that already drop these rare items also drop a new item: "Trace Recovery Piece / fragment".

Each boss could drop 1 or 2 pieces per clear, and you would need 10 pieces to restore a Trace into a real, usable item.

    To maintain game balance:
I suggest limiting the number of Trace Recovery Pieces a player can hold for each specific item – for example, you could only hold up to 10 at a time per item. This way, players won’t be able to stack unlimited pieces, and the system remains fair and balanced.

This would give players real hope to recover exploded gear instead of losing months or years of progress.

The system would still require dedication and bossing, but would make rebuilding feel fairer and less punishing.

I believe this small addition could greatly reduce frustration, keep players motivated, and make the endgame experience much more positive.

Would love to hear your thoughts and support!
