I’m writing to express my enthusiasm for the potential addition of Golden/Silver Hands and Color Prisms to Global MapleStory (GMS). Both of these features have been immensely popular in Korean MapleStory (KMS) and could bring a fresh wave of excitement and creativity to our community.
Golden/Silver Hands: A Game-Changer for Character Customization
Since their introduction in KMS in August 2022, Golden and Silver Hands have transformed how players express their individuality. As player-made items, they have not only fostered creativity but also driven significant revenue for the game. With their successful track record in KMS, it's surprising that they haven’t yet made their way to GMS. Given that it’s been over two years, we believe the time is ripe for their introduction. It would be a missed opportunity not to tap into this demand, especially since these items have been in GMS files for quite some time. Sets below.
Color Prisms: Unlocking Unique Aesthetics
Introduced in KMS in August 2023, Color Prisms have allowed players to dye existing items, enhancing the customization experience. This feature has empowered players to create truly unique looks for their characters, and the excitement around it is palpable. We believe that bringing Color Prisms to GMS would further enrich our gaming experience, allowing us to showcase our creativity in ways we’ve always wanted. Below is a video on how it works in KMS.
Additionally, many players, including myself, began our journeys in MapleStory during the pandemic in 2020, missing out on some of the classic item sets released before that time. We would love to see the return of older NX sets from 2019 and earlier, as well as a rotation of items from 2020 onward. These nostalgic pieces could reignite the passion for collecting and customizing, and would surely resonate with long-time players and newcomers alike.
