Are people really disappointed about reboot having the NX option more than the 500 million mesos it takes buy a single box with presumably 99% junk and 1% medals? If there wasn't an NX option, people might just pay for meso farming services to botters to get boxes. It's the same P2W bs except it incentivises hacking. The best option is to make them quest rewards or to have us work our way through the medal like the PB event where you work your way to the 10% boss title, but I guess it's too late for that. Nexon's fixation with RNG is a big problem no matter if it's NX or mesos. You can only hope they make it cheaper WITHOUT reducing the chances to get good items. As for me, I too am treating this as a filler event and won't waste 4 weeks of my time farming billions of mesos with the possibility of getting little in return.
It's not that I'm envious of hackers getting to 250 quick, I honestly don't care if anyone gets to 250 that fast because ranking means nothing to me. It's that every training map I go to is infested with hackers and I have no chance to even grind for 1% exp.
And some of these hackers/botters are not just your everyday BW/kinesis. They are legit looking people you would see in ch1 henesys with loads of cash items, royal hair and face, etc.
So I don't know if this has been brought up in these new forums but I didn't see it on the recently compiled list of suggestions and it's a fundamental issue in this game for as long as I can remember. Although nexon has recently taken steps to change the censorship status of certain words (like 'S>perm nx' and 'Whisper me'), it's still such a huge annoyance that can easily be solved with a simple on/off toggle.
Leave it on by default once you first play the game and have an option to toggle it off, making all words entered and seen by others be visible as it's written. This way, Nexon doesn't not have to bother trying to define what is and isn't vulgar. They just have to program a basic toggle.
This is some thing most other MMO's (like runescape and WoW) have already done years ago and I see no reason why it can't be done in maplestory. If you have other suggestions or improvements, share it in this thread.
