Next time Nexon does damage cap increase they should also scale down skill damage percentages and boss HP bars so that we don't get skills with 2500% damage hitting the new damage cap while all our other skills from 1st to 4th job do about 60b (assuming we have a damage cap increase to somewhere about 500b). Damage will look smaller and nothing will change while still having potential to reach the inflated cap with funding instead of freebie V skills.
When attempting to visit the main Maplestory site I'm automatically redirected here, instead of the main site. When clicking the prompted "Go To Main Site" button, it goes back to link above instead of to http://Maplestory.Nexon.Net
Damage cap "removal" or should I say, increase, was meant to be unreachable at the time. But here we are. They based 10b damage as the cap most classes couldn't reach without conditions, but several conditions that have to be met at the same time enable the cap to be reached.
I'm fairly certain that the gauge is auto-filled because of 2 things.
1. They don't want you to save up so much determination and break the event
2. If this was really based on how many players are turning in determination, we wouldn't even be close because our population is far lower than KMS and we're seemingly completing it at the same rate as them.
As it currently is, the joypad layout is restricted to placing up to 11 keys onto 10 buttons, but there are skill some controller buttons that remain unused. The L2 and R2 buttons aren't used specifically, neither are the directional buttons on the D pad (for xbox controllers, i dont remember if the D pad is used for PS3/PS4 controllers for movement).
That is 6 buttons unused plus the right joystick (though that would be hard to use skills with and is better left alone). Furthermore, 3 of the 11 possible keys that could be assigned are restricted to using the normal attack key, looting, and jumping, so you're really limited to using 8 of your own skills. For a class like Corsair, that's not nearly enough buttons to assign used skills and buffs, even with the buffs macro'd.
A good solution would be to add support to the unused buttons mentioned above, and instead of having preset keys that can be assigned to buttons (Normal Attack, Jump, Loot, QWER, & ASDF), have the buttons ready and allow a player to assign any key by selecting the button you want to use via the Joypad UI in Maple, and pressing the corresponding key you want to bind it with. Like there's no need for the Attack Key unless you're specifically playing Aran.
