I don't like it. What was wrong with the old one? I miss them spinning lasers. Really hope they're not planning to touch the Damien fight.

    old Lotus was rng garbage
P1....invert control making you walk into laser because happent at awful time(no warning)
getting stunned at the wrong time drop you into laser

P2 was okay not too rng but could been better

P3 getting knockback under the train was bs and there was almost no way to dodge the knockback

    New Lotus
P1 is a little too friendly but its also great to carry ppl trough him
P2 is too easy without the charge bar, but once its charge it goes whack
P3 is a nightmare....relentless attacks(almost no opening to attack him)

overall Lotus revamp is a good change...could use tweaks here and there but meh

    x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

sorry but Damien was already announce to be revamp...the nerf we got this patch is a temporary measure untill his revamp

Damien is the most boring and obnoxious fight in the game
    P1 isn't even trying to kill you..boring
P2 blue orbs would just not let you dps him at all(no room to attack because they were all over the map)....thx for the temporary measure of this patch nerfing them hard enough to not be as annoying

so he's rly need to be remake

my hopes for his revamp bellow: SKIP READING IF your not interest in idea design that may never come to life...otherwise enjoy

    meteors patterns changes
Option 1: meteor fall at FAST speed all over the map but in a more ordered way unlike magnus so knowing the pattern u can move to safe spots ahead of time
Option 2:meteor rocks are thrown at us Horizontally(Jump over, Duck, iframe the meteors)....as well as some destroyable meteors in the mix of the indestructible ones

Damien sword trying harder to chop you but also gets a cooldown between attacks, at the end of the attack pattern it still apply a death zone on the floor

Damien pink Dash, unleash a little faster and also unleash at 1 additionnal spot on the map

for P2 replace blue balls with some blue aura that affect the entire map, whenever you get hit by Damien attacks, your dps gets reduce by 5-16%, you recover 2% dps every 3 seconds that your not getting hit...the dps reduction effect last forever, only way to recover your dps is to not get hit
Normal Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 20.1% to 30%.....dps reduction when hit 5%
Normal Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 10.1% to 20%.....dps reduction when hit 9%
Normal Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 0.1% to 10%.....dps reduction when hit 13%

Hard Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 20.1% to 30%.....dps reduction when hit 6%
Hard Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 10.1% to 20%.....dps reduction when hit 10%
Hard Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 0.1% to 10%.....dps reduction when hit 14%

Xtreme Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 20.1% to 30%.....dps reduction when hit 8%
Xtreme Difficulty: Damien remaining HP 10.1% to 20%.....dps reduction when hit 12%
XtremeDifficulty: Damien remaining HP 0.1% to 10%.....dps reduction when hit 16%

the dps reduction mechanic will still exist but in a more fair way...the above % could be tweaked if deem to be too much dps reduction per hit

can't be bother to write more XD so i be leaving it at that

Have to disagree with this. Old Lotus was far less RNG dependant than new lotus.
P1....invert control making you walk into laser because happent at awful time(no warning)
getting stunned at the wrong time drop you into laser
P1 had no RNG control altering, it was based on the little robots that came out at you.
There was even a small delay before they exploded so you could move out of the way.
The more annoying part was just the laser in general but P1 had so little HP that it honestly didn't matter much.
You might get unlucky and he increases the speed of the laser early in P1 but other than that if it took longer than 1 burst you probably didn't have enough damage for Lotus regardless.
P2 was okay not too rng but could been better

P3 getting knockback under the train was bs and there was almost no way to dodge the knockback

P2 and P3 had practically no RNG. The position of the debris is random yes, but it was painfully easy to dodge.
P3 Large debris was only ever really a probably if you got extremely unlucky. (You have 5 lives so you'd have to get unlucky multiple times)
During laser people complain about large debris because they don't understand how to manipulate the boss.

Knockback was easily baited into being used at max range, where you just take a small step away from lotus and it will miss you.
Knockback was telegraphed so if you got hit by knockback it was 100% on you.
If for whatever reason you can't do this, you can actually normal jump over the KB with correct timing on a platform, which wasn't very hard to do.

If you can't do either of these because of a large debris spawning over the platform you are on you can either move to a new platform or blink float over the laser.
If you blink float over the laser then new debris can't fall fast enough to hit you before you can react to it and blink has KB immunity so Lotus can't force you into a debris.
Stun from smaller debris also does not cancel blink float.
Another weird fact is that P3 Lotus had touch damage which had the same priority as floor laser, if you were standing on top of him the floor laser actually couldn't kill you.

New Lotus has multiple systems that can overlap making it impossible to dodge without just using the teleporter to completely leave the area, something sometimes easier said than done due to the fact that you can't always see it or it could be covered by said attacks.
New Lotus is objectively harder to get a hitless run on than old lotus, it's just said hits don't really matter 99% of the time.

the old lotus was more fun. chaotic and unreasonable at times, but more fun. i miss how unhinged p3 was lol. felt more rewarding getting through it and required more skill - p2 looking out for plats and getting it right to avoid laser floors. after a while one gets an instinct for surviving in p3 and its not totally rng.

new lotus feels more fair. i don't dislike it but old lotus hit different
