So, I'm sure the GM's know this but I figured I'd mention in case they're not aware which is a shame because now this feature is gonna be removed in due time.

I've figured out that these script kiddies are now using the feature that allows you to appear offline when your playing MapleStory.

This appears to be something they're doing to avoid being tracked in-game.

I don't know how long you've been around but it has been an in game feature for a long time now. People can set themselves to appear offline. You wont show up in guild or buddy and you wont see buddy/guild/alliance chat.

It's really bad and should be removed. If someone wants to harass someone they're going to do it either way. Even with the offline feature now they still can easily do it so it makes absolutely no difference. The only thing this feature allows is for botters to get away with it far easier

GMs can ignore the "offline" setting anyway. Offline only hides your status from regular players, such as those in your buddy list, guild, or people trying to /find you.

Appear offline helps if someone is persistently trying to ks you since they can't /find you.
