In before "Bug Reporting" is spammed with people saying reset time is bug because of Daylight Saving times.

That still needs to be fixed, the NA servers need to be in PST again and not UTC.

Something that isn't broken doesn't "need to be fixed". This version of Maplestory is called Global Maplestory (GMS) for a reason. Also not every region in NA observes Daylight Savings, such as Arizona. Plus, you're saying that Nexon have to run two reset times for basically two same servers just because some people don't understand global servers don't revolve around them.

Two? There are 5 NA servers Scania, Bera, Aurora, Elysium and Reboot. Nexon America and half the game runs in PTS the other half is in UTC. That alone is an issue. please read game server time changes and To those who believe nexons long term to get more about why NA and EU don't need to share a timezone.

He meant there are two regions. They'd have to run the NA side in PST and the EU side in UTC. It'd cause more problems than it's worth at this point. And honestly as much as I hated the change to UTC, I hate the DST on-off change even more, and only wish that this damnable outdated concept would get axed.

UTC is best though. Honestly this is one concept that globalization has right on every level.
Why do time zones even need to exist at all?
Does the sun care if it comes up at 3PM or 6AM? Does your body? (Hint: No, it doesn't.)
Time zones and DST change absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
As plenty of people have mentioned in the past, the reset time doesn't matter either.
No matter if it changes at Midnight PST or Midnight UTC, you still get a full 24 hours to do whatever.

It is more less that they need to have the server and the schedule actually match the time that it is serving. I do agree with DST tbh, that is a whole other unneeded thing. So the game should be in PST and the country needs to end DTS for good but I don't see the second one happening anytime soon.

It does matter, like it has been said in the past, UTC is not and will never be a globe concept for time, that is impossible for Earth, as it will always be inconvenient for someone and right now it is inconvenient for most of the players that play the game. A lot of stuff is not 24 hours, and used to match up with when people the Americas go to work, right now with the UTC people actually almost miss a lot of events. So having a US Time Zone for the US, Canada and all makes sense as this is where most of the people come from.

Coordinated Universal Time (or UTC) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time

You still get 24 hours to do whatever. It doesn't matter what time the reset is at. You need to change your mindset.
If you play MapleStory for 3 hours and the reset happens during the first hour.
You play MapleStory another 3 hours the next day and the reset happens in the first hour again.
You still got 3 hours on each day. If your schedule is changing on the day to day, that's not Nexon's fault.
If the reset time is changed, don't you think that'll inconvenience people as well?

Regardless of whatever time the reset happens at, if your schedule doesn't change, you get the same amount of time each day.
If your schedule does change, that is not Nexon's fault.

It is not about the reset, which by the way does not change anymore with DST like the rest of globe in this Global MapleStory anymore let me remind you, it is about the few hour long window events that that happen at inconvitent times for the people in NA in the NA server. Some events no take place when people are either sleeping or are at work. Unless of course the fixed the schedule back to PTS which i don't think happened.

24h is 24h, but if some events specifically take place at odd hours like 2 AM and 2 PM, that's pretty inconvenient.

I don't really see a connection to UTC for that. Nexon just has to change times. But what events take place at 2AM or 2PM?
For me personally a 2AM event is actually convenient since I'm not normally up during "normal hours".

Timed events are a different discussion. Even before the UTC change many people, both American and European, were missing certain events, often due to their own schedules, often due to the placement of the event, often due to poorly planned maintenance times.
Things like Flag Race and Orchid's Call quest should just run once every hour of every day, along with other specifically timed quests, and that has been suggested many times before.
They've spread out the 2x times more to make sure people everywhere have more of a chance to attend at least once. Why not do the same for other events?
UTC reset can stay where it is though, I see no problem with it other than some people being too dumb to account for daylight savings themselves or being unable to google time conversions.
Having different time zones for EU and NA would re-introduce the hassle of having daylight savings maintenance twice a year, and open up even more inconsistencies for both players and Nexon to keep track of.

Actually your body does care. Dark environment makes the body become drowsy regardless if you had enough sleep or not because when it's dark outside your body shoots out a hormone called melatonin which makes you sleepy. That's why doctors tell you not to use a mobile phone before sleeping. We also have genes that make us think that we like to go out when the sun is out because then we can see enemies aka survival of the fittest. As therefore is the reason why timezone exists. Timezone also matters because then each timezone would have their own time scheme and that will cause a lot of trouble economically.

You missed the point, in that it doesn't matter what "time" this is though. If you wake up at "3PM" vs "6AM", it doesn't matter.
You wake up at the same "time" each day. The only thing that's different is what the clock says.
Time zones exist because people like to be able to express that certain solar events happen in that region around X Time.
For example "the sun is overhead at Noon", the sun however, nor your body, cares about this.

To make things more clear, I use the UTC clock in my general life. Because of this, the sun comes up around "10AM or 11AM"
It makes absolutely no difference to me, the sun, or anyone around me to use this clock.
The only thing it DOES do, is make planning things easier with people from other time zones.

Circadian rhythm is the term you both want. And it's definitely a malleable concept within reason; that's how you have third-shift workers.
