Many years of gaming have passed and I feel that one of the most iconic bosses in MapleStory has been neglected. 2020 shouldn't it be time to give it back the shine it deserves?
They need ideas, I will give them to them; increases the amount of HP to make it difficult to kill, leaves you with 10% of your HP with its special attacks and can use reflect.
Seriously, content creators like forgot about it.

It's not so much about being boring, but more about practicality. There are bigger fish to fry now instead of Balrog, and revamping him would take time away from things that could use fixing/revamping more.

If they do have an idea of what to do with him in the future he'll get revamped, but I don't think your suggestion now would be the way to go. Bosses now have more of a focus on mechanics instead of big, unavoidable attacks and damage reflection.

Well crogs weren't impossible even if they 1 hitKO you in the past. You just needed to know what you were doing and keep constantly out of their range.

Yea this is a missed opportunity for sure. everyone still playing is old time players, they'd be all over it. Why do you think the recent anniversary event had a remake of the Sleepywood Sauna room? Nostalgia is a main selling point of this game. Not sure why they haven't applied this thinking to other areas to at least some extent.

I guess there was an old maple event couple of years ago with crogs but ofc nx didn't want to make those even close to the old ones in difficulty.

the set(bambo hat/blue sauna robe etc etc...) was kinda big rip off for hard collectors but a nice flashback of good times
they tease so much with old ms/nostalgia content inagme and on socials lately lol (especially on nexons facebook posts that include so many nostalgic refrences then wonder why comments are full about old ms)
but in other hand they lock-ban on forum any talk about that
so i dont know how talking about something or make hype then deliver something else its a good sell point

will be funny if they continue tease like this with other items maybe like CWK spectrum goggles or MoN.... ?
or barlog renewed.... but as things goes lately this renew idea wont see the light any time soon

I think that the old Balrog could use a simple revamp. Balrog's main problem is the lack of incentives, a level 60 boss that takes 6 minutes or so of forced waiting to get some random boots is not that great. Adding new difficulties and a few accessories would do for a simple addition, as he otherwise is a boss that sees pretty much no play.

For a bigger revamp changing him to have multiple clear phases would work.
    First phase: Killing the hands
    Second phase: Fighting Balrog's head

As it is now you have to wait some time before moving on to the "next phase". By having two clearly defined phases with each hand having an hp bar it feel less of a cutscene and more like a boss. His moves could be changed to be more in line with Maple's current bullet hell like design instead of whatever Balrog does. Give him an Easy, Normal and Chaos form and you are good to go.

This guy's talking about the balrogs that would come and ruin your day on the boat ride to and from orbis, not the abandoned crap-fest that is lord balrog(the boss)
