Hyper Teleport In Commerci for Newer Players

Bug type: Map

Brief bug summary: Hyper Teleporting anywhere within Commerci does not work for players who completed the questline after the Commerci rework in 2016.

More details:
Back in July 2016, the area of Tynerum, Commerci, and Arboren (formerly known as Dawnveil) was split up, isolating each of these areas into separate regions. Tynerum, which was previously required in order to do Gollux and Commerci, was isolated, making Commerci into its own separate theme dungeon and making a bunch of other changes to these areas. With this change came a strange bug where players who completed the Commerci questline prior to this patch could Hyper Teleport into Commerci just fine, but players who completed the Commerci questline after this patch would receive an error message when trying to Hyper Teleport into Commerci, stating "You need to meet the requirements to enter this area. This area is currently not open to you." It should be noted that this error message only appears with Hyper Teleport; using Maple Guide, Dimensional Mirror, or Party Play teleport all work as expected.

Steps to reproduce:
With a character that has started / completed the Commerci questline prior to the v175 patch:
1. Use a Hyper Teleport Rock and attempt to teleport into any map within Commerci. You will be able to teleport fine, as expected.

With a character that has started / completed the Commerci questline after the v175 patch (even to this day):
1. Use a Hyper Teleport Rock and attempt to teleport into any map within Commerci. You will receive a popup message stating "You need to meet the requirements to enter this area. This area is currently not open to you."

Character name: Irelaide

Character level: 207 (applies to 140+ though)

Character job: Adele (applies to any class though)

World name: Bera (applies to any world though)

Date and time of the incident: July 2, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST (but this issue has existed since July 2016)

    I suspect this is because the "requirements to enter this area" include completing a quest that v175 removed or replaced.
    It should be simple enough to change that to the new quest ID, but it would mean that people who completed the Commerci questline before v175 would not be able to teleport there...

    That's what I suspect as well, but I definitely agree Nexon should be smart about it if they attempt to fix it.

    Guys you can maple guide into commerci unless you have a different problem?

    You can maple guide into the fishing village about four maps away from commerci proper. You cannot, however, use a hyper rock to go straight to the san commerci map.

    I just used maple guide to go right into san commerci 100%

    If you complete the entire questline, Maple Guide sends you straight to San Commerci (maybe even if you don't, not sure).

    we can travel directly to commerci town using the maple guide. just open maple guide "default 'U' key-bind on the basic layout," and find the commerci logo in the section of the maple guide that allows you to quick travel (its the image of a yellow anchor)

    I already mentioned Maple Guide in the original post. Doesn't change the fact that this is still bugged.
