Unable to complete Where the Star Fell Quest

I'm in Bera, attempting to complete the "Where the Star Fell" quest in Leafre. I have forfeit and restarted the quest multiple times in an attempt to fix it. I think the issue is I'd already made equipment with star force power in it before I started the quest.
I head to Sky Nest II and get the prompt on 'no damage but the monsters are weird' so I try and kill them. I've even unequipped any star force enhanced items, but still it won't register as completed.

    Not bugged, go to the bottom of your quest lightbulb and accept the quest [Star Force] Equipment Star Power.
