I am just wondering what regulations are the reason that just for Dutch people the way CS works for them has been changed ?
I am from The Netherlands but have no clue which law is now causing this , have been googling it but nothing .
Today I prolly did my last purchase on NX since not wanna be saddled up with tons of double items I can't even move around between my 40 characters I made in the time I been playing the game . And I refuse to put even way more money in to get some items on mules aswell [ cuz thats how it feels I could be forced too seen all this ] .
Still hope something gets adjusted but meh ....
I have enough cashshop outfits and mounts ect .
Maybe when there be a transfer event we still get the opportunity to move stuff around [ not sure tbh ] .
But yet I am disseapointed that the V222 update just effects us Dutchies and none other in Europe [ kinda SUS to me ] .
Means I won't keep my MvP up either and will miss having extra exp coupons ect , means I might stagnate in lvling my mules too and even my main .
I can buy coupons from Legion but that is not enough to keep doing what I am doing now .
I try stay postive still since I have a great guild I am in but not am really sure this is enough to keep me motivated in the future .
Already am dealing with issues from the V222 and my recent purchase on 2 mules , and not see it getting fixed that soon if am honest .

This is from a ruling handed down from the Hague's district court some time back in 2018 (stemmed from the whole EA loot box debacle) which saw loot boxes classified as gambling and as such fall under the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act (BGA) as well as the more recent Remote Gambling Act -Wet Koa- which came into effect April 1st of this year.

Trying to guilt and shame Nexon into breaking your countries laws with veiled threats of no longer buying NX or playing cos you don't like how things are now is frankly pathetic.

As I mentioned in another thread similar to this, take it up with your ombudsmen, Reinier van Zutphen. You literally have more power than Nexon in this matter being actual citizens.

I never tried to shame Nexon .... Just tried to find out where the issue was that it just effected people from The Netherlands . Now reading open boxes is already seen as gambling by my own country law makes me mad at the ones who decided this .... Gambling is to me making money not open a box for a pixel item ..........Anyhoo still Thanks for clarifying it .

it is gambling doesnt matter how you look at it, all f2p games have gambling , thats how they make money, by making you feel like like you have a chance to get an item you want , then spend 200 dollars trying to get it and not getting it, thats the addiction it creates. At thats why it should be regulated, is pretty much like going into a casino.

BUT THE THING WITH MAPLE LOOT IS NOT LIKE IN OTHER GAMES: SSB give you what you paid for, theres no chance of getting only 1 cashshop item and the rest is just some shitty items like hp\scrolls or whatever (like u might get in other games).

all the items in the ssb box are cash shop items: tradeable cashshop items: that ppl can trade wih others or sell to others for meso: meso that can be coverted into maplepoints which means: minimizing the gambling addiction since you can use in game currancy to buy ssb without the use of real money, meso rop from mobs and the cinema thing (THERES NOTHING GAMBLE-ISH about it).
plus they also prevent the exchange the items you dont for style stamps (that can be used in a shop to get items u want) this is not even gambling so like whats the heckos is going on here?
WHY MAPLE DIDNT DISPUTE THAT THERE LOOT BOXS CONTAIN THE SAME ITEMS AND PPL KNOW WHAT THEY PAY FOR: NOT EVERY RNG IS GAMBLING XD.
(since the europians talk was about loot boxes that has a very law chance getting legendry item, while the rest of the items not being worth the money. the loot in maple has all legendary items, u just get 11 random from those legendary items (by legenary i means as it type of item, cash shop items, or costumes like in OW for example)
