Tamable Hog Turned to Bacon

Hello. i turned my hog into a shish kebab by accident and it doesn't respawn. i would like to know if there is a way to salvage this or not. I still have the pheromones to tame it , but the hog itself died and i dont know how to get another one. Enter and leave? done, doesn't work. wait 1 hour ? nothing. google for answers ? apparently nobody did the same oopsy i did....
if anyone has some insight into my problem, i would appreciate it greatly.

    Try forfeiting the quest and re-accepting?

    I'll attach myself to the topic and ask whether there is a chance of getting tamable mounts such as hog, dragon like I remember it 7-10 years ago?

    Tamable mounts can still be acquired the same way.
