Roadmaps are supposed to be end of March, end of June, end of September, and end of December.
Why are these keep being delayed several weeks later?

Patch preview usually the week before the patch.

Get your act together Nexon, what is going on? Give some kind of communication to what is happening!

Was Inkwell's letter not good enough for you?

We are getting Grandis Familiars in a week along with more hexa skills and Sol Janus? He also they are testing the servers to see if they prepare for a merge or reintroduce Frenzy.

Major changes are happening to the way Nexon handles GMS, they were already bad about communication so if anything this gives them an actual excuse to be slow with things like this since they probably don't have anything set in stone. (and thus nothing to show) Once we're out of content that was already mentioned in the road map then you can start to complain.

They promised to have the next roadmap on time and its 2 weeks late and still nothing.

You can always read Max's Mushroom Wordpress for upcoming news. Also our current dreamers events are long and are extending into late August Wait a month when we are almost done with our events first.

Grandis Fams does nothing for the game when the entire familiar systems needs a rework first.

They never said they were going to do a world merge or give frenzy totem, and only relevant for interactive worlds and not the game, nor would neither improve or help the game.

2nd Mastery is the only fun addition to the game that we know about from now all the way to February 2025, besides for Lotus Rework and Extreme Lotus for a very small niche.

The only things that could be a lot of fun for the game would be what GMS includes exclusively and whatever KMS has cooking for Masteria expansion (which GMS' exclusive Masteria could get an update at the same time as well, Gollux and the other half of NLC area is the GMS content), but the mystique of it is what could be intriguing.

Anything would do, even a special inkwell note to give vague plans of what is going on and being clear on somethings that potentially could happen at this time, but things are taking longer than planned and have a very high chance of being pushed to a later date.

Better for Nexon to stick to their promises in whatever form it may be than leave us in the dark and not fulfill what they said they would do. The point to the roadmaps is to have a vague idea of what is happening, while the previews, patch notes, and marketing is to be exact details that are fully confirmed will happen stuff at said date.

It's better to just release things when they're done than constantly run PR apologizing for them being late. All that does is delay things further because you're taking time away from the planning to do a PR move.
Not saying it's okay they're constantly late but I'd rather them just work on the next roadmap than apologize for no roadmap. They likely can't post the roadmap because it's not done yet, which means they could be promising even more stuff that won't come or won't come on time. The last thing they mentioned in the inkwell note/roadmap was this next patch, if there's nothing mentioned when they do that, I'd say start complaining, but otherwise we're par for the course for Nexon.

If you want to complain about them being late in general, I think that's perfectly fine and should be done, but for this roadmap in particular, this is nothing new.
I don't particularly think we really need roadmaps since they don't really cover anything unknown, we have plenty of other sources for maple news and a roadmap only really makes sense if we're covering GMS exclusive content.

    1. the PR team is completely different people than the developers and artists. So no, nothing would be delayed in the first place.

    2. They never need to apologize for communication because things announced ahead of time should be worded along the lines of "we are planning to release this thing around this time" or "we are considering doing this thing or that thing". These are may or may not occur statements and/or statements of the what is certain and the when is uncertain.

Inkwell also said we are getting more GMS exclusive stuff in the future which does make the roadmaps more meaningful. Plus with KMS doing some kind Masteria update soon, GMS might update our GMS exclusive Masteria content as well at the same time which KMS does not have.

Granted upcoming roadmap will only go over what we getting for better maple update in september (though i think they should extend it all the way to december in one roadmap and then just not do september's roadmap, or update it with more stuff that is confirmable).

It is the principle of sticking to what you said you would do rather than the importance of the thing at the present time.

Directors are involved with all aspects of the game, PR included. Doing PR statements takes time from the director and other people involved in making decisions about the game, the programmers/artists cannot work until the director sets a plan into motion which he can't do as quickly if he's also having to oversee a PR team more than he needs to. So yes, this actually does cause delays.

Plans change, game companies commonly say things that turn out to be false later on because they made a statement about something too quickly.
I would rather Nexon make accurate statements than rush out something that will later turn out to be false.

Sticking to what you said is important but giving useful information and not wasting your time is also important. It's a balancing act and it's never as simple as "Just communicate more", if anything Nexon needs to learn what they can realistically promise and stop making promises they can't keep. Communicate that which is known and give rough estimates on dates but always overshoot, it's better to make people wait a little longer than constantly tell them "Actually there are delays".

As of July 15, they officially discontinued the roadmap since we are veering off course in its own unique path.
