Please Revert Blaze Wizard's Teleport!
The change to Flashfire only makes it really annoying to use and makes their mobbing very clunky. The way it worked before made sense to how Blaze Wizard plays.
And allow Fox Mode's Blazing Extinction to work with Chance to Skip Cooldown.
Comments
Blaze mobbing was always superior, nothing changed.
The teleport now is annoying to deal with, you still need to constantly resummon it anyways, but more annoyingly now. Then you accidently resummon it constantly if you ever throw big fireball downwards, all for an unnecessary change that does nothing to resolve any of their actual issues.
BW Mobbing was never superior. It has always been subpar. This update makes it far better because you have better installment options.
If you think BW mobbing was superior I'd love to know what your rates were and how often you actually had to move around.
A good mobbing class can full map clear while barely even looking at their screen once per minute.
The teleport change resolves the issue of constantly having to put the summon back down in bossing, where it is far more useful anyway.
Then you have been playing Blaze Wizard wrong.
Fox fires were always a summon, that is why they reworked the lion mode version because everyone only used the fox mode version for everything.
A lazy mobber does not look at their screen, there are lazy and active mobbers, but neither is an indication of their mobbing quality.
Like Paladin is a lazy mobber, but its mobbing strength is whatever.
And if you cared about best mobbing then you would main a Mechanic.
My enjoyment of the game is actually playing the game, if there is no difference between a person or a rock, then the class is boring and I don't play it. Beast Tamer's hawk mode was great since it was a hybrid of that lazy and active style at the same time, it was active without being demanding whatsoever so it felt like lazy mobbing at times.
Then you got Khali and Blaze Wizard which are active mobbers, but you can enter a flow zen-like state which makes it very relaxing and chill to mob on. Blaze Wizard can do inefficient lazy mobbing - outside of 6 min skill of 30seconds of AFK mobbing - but the shine is mobbing on them properly to enjoy their zen-like mobbing state once you get in the rhythm of things - further enhanced with Sol Janus' Dusk Mode.
Blaze Wizard's teleport is trash for bossing, its purpose is for its mobbing gameplay. Give Blaze Wizard a second teleport that works like Evan's current teleport for bossing, would drastically improve their bossing which sucks right now.
A good mobber will have good rates.
Then you have been playing Blaze Wizard wrong. If you were using flashfire correctly you would realize it's good for bossing.
Blaze Wizard teleport is pro-active, you want something reactive for movement type skills for bossing. Best use cases would be new Lotus and Lucid for this kind of teleport, maybe far right Verus Hilla has some use too, central platform for Kalos, but this is not the ability being good for bossing and rather forcing scenarios where it can be useful.
And even in all of these scenarios, giving Blaze Wizards Evan's current teleport would be infinitely better as it allows them to correct movement mid-air while interacting with the fireballs better. Flash jumps are slow and clunky and way harder to control, you lose out on damage as well especially given how Blaze Wizard plays, especially now with the Fox Mode's Towering Inferno change.
Blaze Wizard is one of the very few characters that can full clear the entire map with ease. As long as you understand how to play them, they are able to mob on every single map. You want bigger maps as it makes their mobbing style not clunky otherwise you are waiting on cooldowns if the map is too small. If you don't wait, then it is fluid and you can enter the zen-like mobbing state.
Bigger maps also have the benefit of way bigger mob spawns.
I answered the question, you didn't like the answer. And rates are irrelevant, it is all about how much fun and enjoyment the experience is. With Sol Janus, we need significantly bigger maps added into the game so that classes can shine and stand out from each other in gameplay experience.
The game needs to only worry about how enjoyable each class is to play as and not focus on the rates that the class makes. If there is something that causes a class to mob in a janky way, then improve that aspect for that class for maximum enjoyment.
The subsection of the vocal maple community needs a shift to defocus on rates and number, and instead focus back on what matters, having fun with the game. MapleStory is a game and not a calculator.
Once again, I cannot help but think that you do not understand this game very well and just brute force your own way of playing.
This is fine except that you seem to think that everyone else is just as unskilled as you and assume that nobody else is able to use tools the way they were designed.
You will find that high level BW bossing uses this skill and it uses it frequently. No, you didn't. You're avoiding it again with this response. Rates are fully relevant because players don't want to waste their life away playing this game when they could be doing other things.
Grinding is not fun for a lot of people so this non-answer is what is irrelevant.
Since you refuse to answer even basic questions I guess we're done here.
Please learn to play the game and stop assuming things you do not like nor understand are bad.
Are you a mechanic main?
Mechanic's portal functions differently as you would need to place down 2 portals and establish a link between. Casting the skill again replaces the oldest portal with the one you are about to cast. BM/MM/BW teleport is different and involves placing one end down and allowing you to warp back to it while it is active. BM/MM/BW all have the same command to recast the teleportation spot using the DOWN + skill. These skill all serve their purposes serving as quick escape in bosses that need you to get somewhere fast and allowing you to return to a specific point on the map for mobbing.
Large maps have portals that take you around map so you can either play in a somewhat straight line or a route around the map. There is a reason why many player choose Sunken Ruins 2 compared to Sunken Ruins 4 even though they have the same spawn and EXP/Meso rate ceiling. Even though we all have perfect coverage from Janus and Fountain, players prioritize SR2 is because of the portals at the end of the map are 2 way so its easier to get to one end to the other to loot or resummon Erda. SR4 does not good portal placement as they only take you up and down and not left to right (one of them takes to the right and then you are stuck in that up and down pair.) Mech, MM/BM/BW can use their own portal and teleports to return to the end of the map so they aren't hindered by the map's flaw. Without considering their normal mobbing abilities, these classes have a good way of overcoming map limitations because of their kit. MM/BM/BW is more flexible (more troublesome for a certain someone) because the user isn't restricted on entering a specific portal and can just warp back.
I have no clue on how you currently play BW and how you played. Only advice I have is keep those skills separate to prevent your own mishaps. Most players don't need to resummon it constant during mobbing. I have no clue on what is the appeal of having a one use teleport when having it be reusable and repositionable is more flexible.
