Can't create a new character

Problem's in the title - got to the name screen, pressed enter, then nothing happened for 5 min, then the "We can't do your request, please try again later" message popped up.

1st day of the event wasted.

    this is not an issue with your account or an issue with your with character creation, iv had this issue myself before waited awhile and created no problem. its simply the login server/game server eiither struggling underload or has been taken down. wait until the servers are more stable and u should have no issues creating a new character, in heinsight people were doing broken amounts of dmg since patch so i would imagine what has happened here is nexon have taken down the game before people start one shotting hard bosses. taking the server down literally minutes after it was up :/

    same here and now I just flat out cant even get on the game. i click north america and then it just crashes

    You too huh? I can barely get past that screen and it crashes a minute later.
