"You have a new message" notification bugged

Bug type: Gameplay?

Brief bug summary: I gifted a friend some red cubes, and normally when you do so you get a message notification saying that they got it and you get +1 fame. However, this message now does not open when you click the notification's circle button, and acts like the x button as both simply close the notification. However, what's annoying is that it keeps coming back non-stop and won't stop returning regardless of which option you pick.

Steps to reproduce:
Gift someone an item? lol

Character name: BOOTY2STRONK
Character level: 224
Character job: Cannon Master
World name: Chaos
Date and time of the incident: 2:00 pm EST, December 1, 2016

    Same problem. I gifted someone a x2 card and now i get the "You have a new message" notification. won't go away.

    This bug is still occurring after the v179 update.

    Still very annoying.

    The same thing happens to me. If you click the circle it goes away, changing maps makes it come back.

    Notification Issue

    Date and time of the incident (PST):
    From 12/01/2016 21:42 UTC to present (after gifting an NX gift)

    Description:
    The "You have a new message" does not disappear after accepting it and reappears when changing maps, channel, etc. and does not disappear after logging off or closing the game

    Steps to reproduce:
    Gift a player something with NX
    Leave the Cash Shop
    After the gifted player receives the item in Cash Shop, the "You have a new message" notification appears and reappears after changing maps and or channel

    Expected result:
    After clicking on the notification, the person who gifted the NX should receive +1 fame and the notification should disappear after

    Observed result:
    The notification does not disappear nor gives you fame, talking to the NPC Donald Package Deliverer does not solve this issue

    Same here, got the bug. Wished I knew it earlier, then I would have use a mule to send lol
