Cant Get Past NA/EU select screen

like the title says, im in NA and if i choose that option, my client closes and gives the error either the game is down for maint., your IP has been banned or weak connection. and if i click EU i can get the the channel select page, but then it just doesnt connect to a channel and keeps popping up "are you sure you want to exit?" even tho i never clicked cancel etc. and if you click cancel instead of OK it just pops back up

    Try waiting a bit longer before clicking. I was having a similar problem but I got "Maplestory is not responding". I waited 3 seconds after the icons appeared and it then started to do a patch.
