Why 'fixing the servers' isn't the problem.

...Unless you just want better service for the hackers.
The servers are flooded with 1-2 hackers per area, especially during 2x events, they are easy to find..
As of recent, the majority no longer even log off after the event is over.

In game reporting seems to only be an exercise in futility.

Dec 18, 2016, 2x event. Mardia, channel 7... 1 pass from Herb town to Mu lung

-Removed-

This is only a small sample of the reason the 'servers are bad' and the game seems to be drowning in lag.
Until the hacking is fixed (which won't be), there will always be a problem.
This is only my opinion, though.

Nexon can't stop the hackers. They already showed they failed when they sued the biggest hacking group around. They won that suit yes but a year after the biggest hackers come back and now are even harder to stop them. Point is hackers are inevitable and Nexon can not and probably will not do anything anymore to stop them. They wasted so much money and time on that suit just come up with nothing. Just learn to deal with it now since hackers will always exist.

We do not allow reporting on the forums because of the naming-shaming rule. Please use the official channels in-game or through the ticket system to report players.

No the servers aren't the problem; the people that run the game are. They really just need a new staff of people that aren't useless and know how to deal with customers. Really don't have a ounce of respect for the current employees as they are extremely unprofessional and rude. They also lied about giving players compensation on a bug that occurred last Halloween, as I made a few follow up tickets asking about compensation and they changed their answer from compensation will be given out, to it might be given out, to it won't be given out. Very petty.

The only thing i see incorrect about your statement is they actually won lawsuits against specific groups of hackers whom created their own "private servers".
Everything else you've stated is the hard hitting truth.

Thanks for the tip, though, Neospector. Unfortunately though, a hackers Bot has no shame.

But, this being the 'Rant and Rave' forum, I was doing just that. I was ranting about the (BLATANTLY OBVIOUS) hacker infestation of Maplestory.
If showing the names of players is the forums quam against these poor, dear hackers that need to be protected, I will gladly obscure all the names
in the image links you so kindly removed from my Rant (not a report) post.

Trying to report via the 'customer service' ticket system is even more comically futile than using in game reporting. I have tried several times to upload
a video to no avail. And if you think I'm going to make a specific, single report for every last 'asdfgaskljk' or '98864' hacker name to type in a form field,
    you're out of your mind.

For those that didn't get to see, there were 15 image links removed showing 1-2 per the large map rooms from Mulung to Herb Town.

Anyone curious can take a stroll on any channel (and probably world) through these maps and see the problem.

As just one person reporting, I alone probably get zero attention called to the issue despite the problem being systemic to the game.

Also, while I understand the frustration of the 'Nexon staff being the problem', I also believe is more of a case of hands being tied to prevent
the cure the issue as opposed to the staff just being oblivious to it.

As of this post 12-19-2016, there still about 10 fields occupied by hackers at any given time.

    Again, all just my opinion.

and Nexon rejects dem Resumes of people who at least feel competent in their abilities...Like...they should hire people that know the game...not just someone with a fancy degree who might not even care...

Upon viewing the rules of the forum (unless I missed something hidden) :

    http://forums.maplestory.nexon.net/discussion/6835/code-of-conduct#latest

    Posting Rules and Regulations
    - Keep forum discussions pertaining to the game.
I believe my rant was relevant.

    - Controversial, illegal (pirating, drugs, other illicit etc.), adult (drinking, sexual activities and references) and Terms of Use-breaking (hacking, glitching, account trading, private servers, etc.) discussions are not allowed.
I did not discuss hacking, only ranted about hackers violating the games (Maplestory) ToS

    - Profanity and vulgar speech will not be tolerated.
I can only assume I was neither profane nor vulgar (matter of perspective, I suppose).

    - There is a language filter on the forums and bypassing the filter with symbols, rearranged letters, or substitute words will be considered as profanity.
    Did not do that.

    - Impersonating/attempting to pass off as of any Nexon representatives or other forum members will be punished by a permanent ban.
Have no need to do so.

    - Inflammatory threads towards the game, the players, the company and its employees will not be tolerated.
My post was informative and/or opinion based, not inflammatory.

    - Baiting players to flame; derailing threads to incite an argument or negative behavior; and simply for the sake of causing trouble are not behavior accepted on the Nexon forums.
If 'baiting' means reality of what is happening, I may be guilty. But, again, the post was meant as informative and a opinion and was not structured to incite. If anything, it was to stop the complaints against 'server upgrades' posts that are not the problem.

    - Making racist, derogatory, threatening comments and/or direct attacks on other members will not tolerated.
Not an issue in my post.

    - Buying/Selling in-game items or accounts for real life money is not allowed on the forums as it is against our ToS.
    Again, not applicable.

    - Do not post images on the forums that can be insulting; promote adult behavior and activities; suggestive actions; violence; and/or pornography. Moderators have final say on if an image is deemed inappropriate.
None of my images depicted any of the above actions.

    - We do not allow the promotion of referral websites, phishing websites, or other malicious links.
Not applicable again to my post.

    - This also includes threads that that intentionally promote ("advertise") non-Nexon games. If you would like to share a fansite, please do not spam.
    Same as above.

    - Do not create multiple threads of the same topic or discussions to overwhelm the forums.
    Have not done.

    - Bumping (repeated posting on a thread to keep it going or visible) is also not allowed.
    No need to do.

    - Intentionally necro-bumping will result in disciplinary action.
    I just made this post.

    Behavior Towards Nexon
    - You are free to express yourself on the forums but not on Nexon's expense.
I have had my post edited for violating a ToS or Forum rule (that I see in plain sight, not to say I haven't overlooked it, and that does not seemingly exist). Clearly this is not true. My post made no remarks to Nexon, or towards Nexon. I was simply stating my opinion as a Rant in the forum labeled "Rants and Raves". I requested no customer support.

    - This means we will not allow derogatory comments, threats, intellect insults, "crusades" against Nexon or our users, and other comments encouraging other members to accept a certain ideology about Nexon.
I asked no questions for something needing to be done in my post.

    - We do welcome feedback and constructive criticism.
I certainly thought this post was feedback (a rant) and provided evidence to back up my comment, which is strictly opinion.

    - Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one.
One would presume in the Rant and Rave section, 'positive' comments would be lacking.

    Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt (FUD)
    - Do not to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) on the forums. This includes making claims on what Nexon’s actions intentions are.
    I don't believe I did this.

    Opinions
    - Opinions are welcomed. However, we do expect you to respect the opinions of others, even if you do not agree with them.
I welcome opinions. It is the reason I started this post. I gave mine.

    - Do not use conflicts you have with others forum members as discussion points.
    Does not apply.

    - If you have an opinion to share about Nexon games and its services, please post it constructively.
I honestly thought I did. But, I got my post censored due to me posting images that I cannot find, violated a rule.

    Customer Support/Game Masters
    - The Nexon forums are not a channel to contact Customer Support or Game Masters.
    I wasn't trying to.

    - Use the support system to file tickets if you require assistance regarding account and billing inquiries or issues.
I wasn't asking for assistance for my billing or account.

My apologies for violating the rules I could not find to this forum.

    You missed the last section:
    Reporting Abuse
-To report abuse happening on the Nexon forums, on the right bottom corner of every post there is a Report abuse link.
    - When clicked it opens a report form for you to fill in a subject and a quick summary of what the abuse is.
    - If you wish to report in-game abuse you must use the in-game report options, website options or the ticketing system.
    - The forums are not the channel for reporting players.
    - Reporting players through the forums can be seen as harassment as it can lead to disruptive, inflammatory behavior.

It's not really because of that. You need a KSSN to make an account over there which makes it very hard for botters or hackers.

Active game player/moderators reacting to in game reports to hacker reporting... problem solved.

Pay extra real people to do that to actually improve the game... not in the interest of profit and shareholding interest.

If Nexon really want people to play their game, they should really start having more active mods to take care of hackers. I'm not going "Learn to deal with it". That's a stupid idea btw.

Next thing you know the only people who are going to play this anymore game are hackers.

This... my apologizes to not address it.

Litigation and law suits are not the same as fixing the dammed problem of hackers overrunning the game in the first place.
Sure, you can sue the world... but, all you could do to keep the world from seeping in to hack the game though, is FIX THE F______ PROBLEM.
Then, instead of pissing away money on lawyers and law suits... you could apply that money towards the game not being
s'''' across graphic card platforms. Or, causing crashes. Or, _insert any other billion problems of the game_

Sorry to break this to you but there will always be a problem when Nexon is in charge of the game. Even with perfect servers, there will still be countless bugs.
