    It seems like you're missing a file. Delete Maplestory and re-download it. That might fix your problem.

    Or do what she said below

    Go to Start - Control Panel - Windows Update
    Check for updates
    Install all available updates.
    After the updates are installed, restart your computer.
    After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.

    Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:

    For Windows 64-bit
    Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 (64-bit)
    For Windows 32-bit
    Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 (32-bit)

    Run the vc_redist.x64.exe (64-bit) or vc_redist.x86.exe (32-bit) and select Uninstall
    Run the .exe again and select Install

    I'm having the same issue as well, but I think it's just a case of Nexon being Nexon at this point. I had zero issues before this update, and everything I've tried results in the same error message, so I'm just going to assume this is on their end, though they'll never admit it.

    k guys. i found the SOLUTION... if u guys are still having trouble even after reinstalling the C++ studio files, it might be that you did not update your windows operating system to SP1. You can check this by going to Control panel > system. You can check for the SP1 update your windows update and if it does not update successfully, you should download the "readiness tool" from microsoft's site (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20858) .. you might need to find the the x86 version if u have a 32bit os but im not too sure. After you updated to SP1, you would go back to the Control Panel > Uninstall a program > then locate the C++ visual studio files > right click > repair. You should be able to repair the files successfully now and the error should be gone after. Hope this helps gl
