New player event question?

"New Player Event:

Requirement: Be a new MapleStory player."

What exactly constitutes a new player? I'm assuming I can just make a new character for this...?

    New player means new account.

    In the past, there have been occasions where they actually checked your IP to make sure it's a real new player and not an existing player creating a new account. But there have also been occasions when they didn't.

    For this event, it means making a character for the first time on the Reboot server. It's to help liven up the server so a new account is not necessary.

    Well then you can still buy the boxes and do the daily quests. The Bonus for hitting 30/60/90/etc is temporary and not permanent so doesn't make a huge difference thankfully.

    New accounts is to get the pet (7 days) and the other stuff

    The level up rewards is just a new character

    That's a different event.

    The "Re:ZERO Reboot World Event" requires a new character on Reboot. Can be on an existing account.

    The "New Player Event" requires a new account. Can be on any server.
