  Some time ago, Global Maplestory (GMS) merged with European Maplestory (EMS). EMS players were required to migrate their accounts to a "global" account (I.E. one that would work with the GMS service, to allow EMS access to all global Nexon games) and launch their games from the global Nexon launcher.
