Im not sure if its supposed to happen with just Erda Nova but whenever I try to bind monsters like Grosso Polpo and Livyatan, they stutter for a second but continue attacking like normal even when the bind attack was a confirmed hit.

They're immune to bind, that's why.

They're not immune, it's just a bug when binding. I made a thread back in December but it seems it hasn't been looked at for almost a year. =/ Grosso Polpo and the two Livyatans are affected.

Livyatan, Grosso Polpo, and even Gollux are immune to bind; they have a variable that makes them immune to it.

There has to be more to it than that. I mean if they were immune to bind then why do they have a paralyzed sprite that flashes in a seizure inducing matter before they return to normal when a bind skill is used.

Because the way bind works is that it puts the monster into its knockback state. Since these mobs are immune to bind, it tries to put the monster in a knockback state, then returns it to normal after realizing that the monster is immune.
