Why a World Leap why not a World Merge

Honestly just why a World Leap... I was hoping for a World Merge to fix the dead player base that continuing to die, but no a World Leap because ya know who wouldn't want to leap from dead world to dead world! I made a reddit thread around 3 months ago and still no reply from the community manager whether it would happen or not.
