Constant Lag Spikes/FPS Drops

Before I say anything, please know that my rig should 100% be able to play Maplestory... I can play pretty much any game I want with no FPS drops or lag spikes... I can also stream a lot of games with no trouble as well.

I recently tried starting Maplestory again. I've played pretty much since launch, but coming back has been super annoying because I get constant lag spikes when mobbing. If I kill a few mobs at once the screen will freeze for like a single second and then resume. This happens even when lowering my graphic settings.

Is this common? Anyone else experience this? What causes this? Is there a fix?

    Nevermind....after reading the forums a bit I have the understanding that Nexon hasn't fixed lag that's been going on for a while...
