"having trouble logging in" if idle in home menu

Whenever I login to maplestory (both launchers) and I stay at the menu for too long without selecting a server/channel, I get the Having Trouble Logging In message which will not let me continue on the current client session, which I can only log in successfully if I re launch the game and select a channel asap. I believe it's fine when you return to home menu after logging out of a character but when you first launch the game I have this issue.

    I'm guessing it's intended.
    However, the message is misleading. It sends the user to the website and to contact Support, instead of just relaunch the client.
    The message should be changed to something like "Your login credentials have expired. Please restart the game." and then when the user clicks "OK" the client should close.

    I have the same issue randomly when just starting the game and directly trying to pick a world/channel. Always a problem if I wait too long to pick.

    If your nexon log in client is still running, 'expired credentials' should not even be a thing. Especially considering the crap-shoot it is to get the game to load/run without crashing for some various odd reason.
    Otherwise, it makes the log in client even more bloat/worthless than it already is, if it can't keep your maple session active despite your idling picking a world/channel.

    well, at least it works for you, mine's the same sometimes it does that sometimes it straight up crashes for no reason and sometime it works
    but recently when I select my character and type in my pic to login, sound plays and then nothing happens... few minutes later... crash
