Item Seal on Flamable Equips

With flames coming to GMS on June 20th, 2018, many people will have the chance to apply them to their equips. However, some may not be able to if they've sealed them with Item Seals. Item Seals prevents any change to the equip, it will not allow the item to be traded, sold, destroyed, or scrolled in any such way. This means that we will most likely not be able to apply flames to sealed items.

I would like to suggest this (soon to become) problem to be resolved, as it is an issue that people have not yet considered. While it is not brought to attention, many people will realize on release. This should be dealt with before the release of flames so that everyone can immediately enjoy the bonus stats flames offers.

The best solution that I propose is to allow equips that are bound by Item Seal and can be enhanced by flames to have an exception, that being allowing flames to be applied to the equip.

While this is a very good compromise, I would like to also note (if Nexon does take this approach): this should only apply to Item Seals that are currently active on all equips up until June 20th, 2018. Item Seals used after the release of flames should NOT have this exception. This allows for a smooth transition to the update but goes against the purpose of the Item Seal. You should not be able to apply flames on equips if you've used an Item Seal after June 20.

Coding such an exception is far more difficult than it seems.

Customer Support provides a service of removing item guards (obviously requiring extra proof that you are the real owner of the account). They're just going to be flooded after the patch.
