Ark White Screen Crash DURING First Boss Battle

I had a white screen during something (can't remember what) just before getting to the first boss Albaire, but restarting fixed it. Now, I can't continue any further, I get a white screen within seconds of starting the battle with the first boss Albaire, making it impossible to continue Arks quests. I tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling, repair launcher, FULL shutdown, I tried just about everything.

EDIT: pressing ESC worked, it skipped past the scene.

    Try pressing esc during the white screen. Worked for me.

    Bug type: crash
    Brief bug summary: when you fight against his old friend. right before the video sequenze starts you gonna get a white screen and than a crash.

    More details: after the crash the quest+ the fight resetts which makes it impossible for ark to continue their questline
    and without that questline they cannot train outside the beginning town (exp restriction kinda like zero)

    Steps to reproduce: start the fight and attack him until the video is suppose to play

    The game crashes and a white screen pops up whenever I go against Albaire.

    Hiya! I passed along everyone's reports with the game crashing right before Ark's cutscene.

    For the time, pressing the ESC key will let you skip the animation and continue on along your journey. If you are interested in seeing the full animation you missed, here is a link to the video:
