How can i do this?

So, the event Black Mage start and I had started the first mission that Athena Pierce gave me and it said i can get "Determination" by killing mob near my level so i start going to Mu Lung Garden to fight ( I'm level 125 Kinesis ) and i have kill a lot of mob ( the mob is level 130-138) and it doesn't raise my determination. Can any mod or someone explain to me what do I have to do please and thank you

    I haven't had the time to fully explore it myself, but my understanding from my brief read-through of the event is that the monsters will drop determination fragments (there are three different types), and you have to collect some combination of them all in order to increase your determination. Other methods are killing elite monsters, as well as clearing the Black Mage's chains, which appear in a map after the 11th elite monster has been spawned in a map. I'll come back and edit this response if I find out any conflicting/different information.

    Don't think the chains are out till Nov. 28, but could be wrong.

    Yeah, the chains are not out yet, so that is currently not an option.

    Once you complete the alliance tutorial, and any subsequent time after you've logged in for the first time, click the alliance icon and select the available missions quest which will give you the Embers of Determination. Once you have them, you double-click it, and it places it in the map. From there, you kill monsters and collect the required fragments. Once you have the required fragments, you have to walk over top of the Ember that you placed in the map. You can repeat this up to 10 times within a 10 minute window to receive ~2500 determination. If you leave the map, the embers will disappear. Additionally, you can only place the embers every 5 minutes, so it's advisable to stay in the same map until you finish a round of 10.
