Explorer Book Can't be deleted

Brief bug summary:

i cant remove the explorer book from my inventory

More details:

after i finish the explorer book questline and got my emblem the npc that should take the explorer book didn't do it and now is in my inventory and i can't drope it nor sell it

    Contact support, live chat will be fine, and explain it to them. They helped me out with this same issue a year or two back so they should be able to help you too.

    Talk to Sugar at the maple Tree on Maple island and she will take the book back from you.

    This is the proper way to dispose of it, yes, try this first. Should that not work for whatever reason, my post still stands.
