Female 'Non-Plussed Face' using Male Version?
Bug Type : Visually-Related Bug
Brief Bug Summary : The 'Non-Plussed Face" Royal Style appears visually different from what was originally advertised. On the post made here (
maplestory.nexon.net/news/42421/cash-shop-update-for-january-23), the eyes on the face are depicted as 'droopier' than what is seen in-game. The version in-game is the same as the male version, which should not be the case.
More Details : Here are pictures of what the faces look like, both in the initial advertisement and in-game :
This is the version that was advertised in the post :
, and this is the in-game version :
Additionally, this is what the male version looks like :
Steps to Reproduce :
1. Acquire the 'Non-Plussed' Royal Face Style on a female character.
Character Name : Åkarin
Character Level : 235
Character Job : Hayato
World Name : Bera
Date and Time of the Incident : Thursday January 24th, 2019 (4:25 PM, Eastern Standard Time ; 1:25 PM Pacific Standard Time).
EDIT : Added a little more information, rephrased certain sentences.
Turns out that the female version of the face in-game is being occupied by the male version of the face.
Not sure if this is intentional.
If it was, sorry for taking up your time.

lol that sucks
For real though, if the face ingame was intended to look that way then doesn't this count as like false advertising or misleading information on Nexon's part?
It's not false advertising if female characters are getting the male version of the very same face. That falls decidedly within the territory of bug. False advertising, for future reference, would be if they made the cash shop update post and included in it a new rotation of royal hairs and faces, but the actual rotation ingame was wholly different.
Another, likely better/more accurate, example of false advertising would be saying that something costs, let's say, 4900 nx in the cash shop update post, but then you look at it in the cash shop and it costs 5400.
So you spent money to get something that you wanted, only to find out that it doesn't exist, right?

Redundant / Erroneous comment, see Aggraphine's 2nd comment
If the face were wholly unavailable after being advertised as being available, then that would fall under false advertising. But this is a matter of both male and female getting the male face. It's nothing more than a bug, and people really need to stop immediately declaring FALSE ADVERTISING AAAAAAAAAAAA in regards to things as minor and easily-fixed as this.
Whoops.
Uhhh, I thought I only hit submit once. IDK if this was because of draft saving or not, but I do get what you were saying.
