Learn from my mistakes. Tera burning and Mega burning are named differently for a reason. -_-" GTFOH.
Rewards are different asf and caps earlier. Read them quest. Just cause they say "OH IT'S ANOTHER BURNING EVENT HURRRRRR" Doesn't mean it's the SAME burning event.

    Mega burning is the standard burning event. It's the one we've been getting for years.
    Tera Burning, on the other hand, is still pretty new. If anything I would assume "Burning" = Mega Burn.
    Most likely only newer players would be tripped up by this, but there are patch notes for a reason.

    I think it's obvious enough as the names are different and they mention that this one is only to 150 on the first line.

    Agree. Problem is only a problem if you make assumptions and don't read patch notes.

    For future reference, OP: tera burn = 200; mega burn = 150

    Some people referred to both as simply "burning" in guild chat so it's understandable some people might make a mistake.

    The event list entry also specifically mentions if it's a tera burn or not, but I guess you can't expect people to read half the things they click on.

    I mean if you're new I guess you wouldn't know the difference, but this event has been going on for ~2 years now between Mega and Tera burning ?

    Tera burn is new, this most recent one was only the second time there's ever been one. But again, the difference is made clear in a number of places both ingame and on the website, so I don't feel it's a matter of things being unclear.
