I'm in the same boat. And on the rare occasion that I do log in, I usually wind up D/C'ing again after 10 - 30 minutes. And then it's back to crashing 15+ times before I successfully log back in again.

I had a friend with a similar issue not too long ago. Try talking to Ridley to leave Tyrnerum and then check the light bulb for the quest. Hopefully that works.
