It's quickest to achieve with Illium and could potentially take less than 2 hours on a good map with a Kanna. I haven't gotten it myself, but I did help out a friend a month or so ago when he was training his Illium and he got 3000+ combos in a relatively short time. That said, it's hard to keep a high combo sometimes because the grind just gets too boring, or an elite with a really bad effect will spawn, or an elite boss, or whatever else may happen.
You're correct, they did change it to 1 person entry for a very long time before accidentally removing the entry. Then when they brought it back a month or so ago, I couldn't even enter the portal to the Astaroth fight. Now they've removed the quest that gets you 10 fame from killing Astaroth, in addition to needing a 3 person party to enter.
Nexon, we've been playing your game for over 12 years. You're supposed to make us want to continue playing. These changes give absolutely no incentives to play your game or give you money.
