Everything in MapleStory is made easier to those who pay money, and that's just an unfortunate truth. Want permanent 2x exp ? Go buy a 2x exp card every day. Want easy travel ? Buy a HTR … (more)every week. That is just the way the world works - the more money you spend, the more perks you get. Ever been to an amusement park and purchased FastLane ? That means you get access to quicker wait times in the queue lines. It doesn't mean that those who didn't won't get to ride the ride, they're just gonna have to wait longer to do so - the same is true for Maple.
I definitely think that 'dedication' is a poor word choice to use in this circumstance. I would simply state that it is an additional perk granted to those who spend waste money on the game. It sucks that there are no perks given to those who have played the game for X number of years - as you've said, we have played this game longer than a lot of the 'pro' 250 players, but just because they drop thousands of dollars into the game they get to reap the rewards moreso than us. It would be nice if there were some sort of loyalty rewards - if you've played for X years, you get XYZ as a perk (something similar to an MVP-tier system).
At the end of the day, all Nexon cares about is $$$ - they do not give a **** about the players or what is good for their actual game. The problem is that whales continue to give Nexon money to maintain a sub-average level of game play. So long as that culture exists, nothing will change. (less)
opinion here, but honestly I want all GMS-Exclusive content removed. Including characters.
I would rather have a stable client and more co-operation with the KMS to get stable balanced content added to all versions of the game.
Too much of our content renders the KMS content completely pointless.
I think the only real issue with doing this is that because Nexon has allowed this content to be introduced into the game for such a long time,
players now feel like they are owed buggy broken content.
Please continue to remove the exclusive content or balance/rework it to be slightly weaker than KMS equivalent.
You may now being yelling at me for having unpopular opinions.
I don't completely disagree with you - there is a ton of content that is gMS-specific that is just not used whatsoever - Alishan, Twisted Aqua Road, for example, are two things that could be easily removed and no one would care. The whole point of having gMS-exclusive stuff is to be, well, exclusive. It just sucks that Nexon has incompetent programmers that can't seem to sort out how to import a patch from kMS into our game without it having game-breaking bugs. Therefore, the removal of extraneous areas that are NOT popularly used by players would help alleviate that issue. (less)
The problem is that whales continue to funnel money into the game, regardless of the fact that Nexon has been proven to be wildly incompetent. So from their perspective, why bother … (more)actually making changes if the money flow is still coming in ? The only way to actually exact change upon Nexon is to stop their money flow. Unfortunately, whales are too concerned with wasting their money to make their pixels have bigger pixel numbers for some god forsaken reason, than to actually hold the company accountable for where their money is going.
exist, given that Explorer classes are relatively less interesting to play.
I'd do something like:
Warriors: +%life and weapon damage.
Mages: +%mp and magic damage.
Bowman: +move speed and crit chance.
Thief: +jump height and avoid chance.
Pirate: +drop rate and crit damage.
Lol at everything being useless except for Pirates.
I would imagine something similar to Cygnus/Resistance could be doable - an effect that stacks/grows depending on the # of characters that contribute to it. (less)
Yup. I had 3 different guild members submit video proof of a character botting in Esfera, and Nexon Support acknowledged in their response that they saw the person botting via the video. … (more)However, that person is still not banned. What possible explanation could there be for continued inaction on the part of Nexon…? The same Kanna/Ark hackers are in Outlaw's Street 3 in ch17 of Scania, and have been for the last week and a half. Several reports have been sent in, no action. There's an entire GUILD of hacking Kannas in Scania, no action.
It's pretty safe to say that Nexon isn't doing anything. That's not company bashing, that is just the straight up truth. =/ (less)
