  • Old Maplestory nostalgia?

A few years ago, I was very eager to say that the community was overall positive, but now I'd say that it was just as rotten as it is today. Perhaps it is my nostalgia goggles wearing off, but I'm starting to remember the negative experiences I had with people. I miss my old friends of course, but I've ran into some very terrible people. It's the same thing today, just that people are more spread out now so it's easier to avoid interactions.

I would say that the old layout of Victoria Island is still quite nostalgic to me. It was always fun being able to walk from one town and then return full circle. The large, intricate maps were a lot less straightforward to navigate in. I especially remember the L forest somewhere between Kerning City and Lith Harbor.

  • More Descriptive patch notes

The patch notes were still lacking detail, although not to the extreme extent of the Mushroom shrine notes.

We should have detailed patch notes like before, but with fact checking done sooner rather than later and any late edits made noticeable. The old style of notes weren't overwhelming as Nexon claimed they were - they were inaccurate and had some wrong information.

  • Just plain shameful nexon

This is exactly why I'm holding off on doing the questline until there's a fix. Hopefully it's fixed in a reasonable amount of time. It's ridiculous that people have to be hesitant on doing an event because of a glitch.

Why not make the censor option toggle-able? (disabled by default, enabled by user)
I definitely agree with a toggle option. If people want to cuss, they'll do so regardless of the filter anyways. They'll always find a way to bypass the filter, and when people use a certain variation long enough, Nexon will censor it as well. Take for example the word "gay." Years ago, the purposefully misspelled version "gey" wasn't censored in game but it now is due to how many people used it. As people keep finding ways to work around the filter, more and more words will have to be censored, which could cause problems for strings of words in conversation.
