In KMS a guy in a non-reboot world beat reboot to the first spot of getting 275 so keep the rankings to give the non-reboot guys the fire they need.
At the start of the 275 race in KMS, a reboot player had the lead by over 2 trillion exp after about 1.5 weeks. Said person eventually stopped training around the mid 260s, and then about 2 weeks after that the regular server players were able to catch up.
Regardless though, whoever is currently winning or whoever wins in the end isn't relevant to the discussion of whether or not ranks should be separated. They should be separated due to the drastic difference in progression. Even in KMS, where Reboot is a relatively small amount of the total player-base, they separated the rankings because they understand that its essentially a different game, and comparing two things that are so different doesn't provide any value to the people using the rankings.
I definitely think there's no reason to have a "Both" category. The two servers progress much differently, both in terms of the options they have for progression and the rates at which the progression happens.
There's no meaningful information that comes as a result of the combined ranking. In fact I think more than anything it fosters a lot of argument over "this server is better than that server" or "it's so unfair that this server can do this while that server can't".
I think the ranking system in KMS is actually a much better format than the system we currently have for GMS, forum user SadVirgin made an excellent post yesterday covering the benefits of a ranking system like KMS's and also providing a more detailed explanation of why a combined ranking isn't useful to have.
The cooldown is really frustrating and screws over anyone / everyone who wants to use an ign they've saved for a new character. I get that Nexon doesn't want people selling IGN's but this is such an absurd way to combat that, as it hurts the entire playerbase for minimal gain on their part.
Brief Bug Summary: In the recent update to v.177, it was said that the massive amount of lag that existed when looting many items would be addressed, however after nearly a month I have yet to notice any difference. The lag is still unbearable and the majority of the time I have to play without looting anything at all if I don't want to be frozen for minutes on end.
Given the fact that many events and quests ask you to loot a number of drops, this lag severely hinders your ability to complete these events in a timely manner, and results in a very negative experience playing the game overall.
I, and many others, would very much like to see this issue actually addressed in the next patch.
Steps to Reproduce: Loot a large number of items with pets, screen freezes for anywhere from 1-30s at a time depending on how many items are being looted.
Character name: Halcyon Character Level: 242 Character Job: Evan World Name: Broa Date and Time of Incident: October 19th, 2016, 2:00 PM PST to November 12th, 2016, 6:30 PM PST (present)
Bug Description: After the v.177 Patch you can no longer change your mini-map to be simple display. Prior to the update you could choose between a simple display which only showed the platforms, ropes, NPC's and portals, or a more detailed display that showed the background of the map, but didn't show the exact location of platforms and ropes. Currently the mini-map will only display the detailed mode and there is no longer an option to change it in System Options.
